Mr. Pittman has been a long-time advocate for Legacy Communities. Most recently, he has worked closely with Dr. Thompson in the early stages of this project. Additionally, he has served on the Jackson County U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) board for his entire professional career, and is the president of Panhandle All Care Service, a local non-profit. Mr. Pittman grew up in Jacob City, is an active member of St. Mary’s Missionary Baptist Church and has extensive family connections in the area. Although he now lives in Marianna, he keeps Jacob close at heart.To the right is a picture of St. Mary Missionary Baptist Church that Mr. Pittman is still heavily involved in.
