DELANEY PITTMAN

Delaney Pittman has been active and excited with assisting with the North Star Legacy Community of Jackson County. In high school, Mr. Pittman had interviewed his local community members in order to write a paper on the history of the City of Jacob. Although he has not been able to relocate this paper, he has spent countless hours accumulating information on Jackson County Legacy Community history and ancestry of the local families. Now living in the Tampa Bay area, he is actively involved in his historically Black neighborhood’s civic and homeowners associations and teaches in a high school.

It is through the passion and expertise of Delaney Pittman that the team was able to gather historic materials and develop trust with new community members. Mr. Pittman understands the importance of this work and has been invaluable in communicating this value to his family and friends.
